Review: Apple Wireless Keyboard
I’ve been looking into the wireless keyboards for the past couple of weeks as I’ve started hooking my Macbook up to my external monitor. One of the main reasons I choose the Apple Wireless Keyboard was because of it’s Bluetooth technology. New Mac’s have Bluetooth built into the machine so there is nothing to connect to your USB slots like other brands where they give you some sort of USB receiver. If you don’t want to use all your Mac’s USB slots up with a mouse and keyboard, Bluetooth is a good way to go.
Packaged like an Apple product, comes with manual and/or instructions, 3x energizer batteries to power your keyboard and the keyboard itself.
Setup is quick and simple. Put in the batteries and switch the keyboard on, switch Bluetooth on your Macbook if you haven’t and select it from the Bluetooth menu. Painless!
If you have a Macbook or Macbook Pro then this keyboard will look and feel very similar as It’s identical. If you haven’t seen one then think of it’s size as that found on a notebook keyboard, It’s very compact made very well with good weight so it won’t go sliding anywhere. It has controls at the top for media playback, volume, expose and brightness. Only negative really being there is no number pad. If you’re a gamer I would personally look elsewhere.
Overall I’m happy with the purchase, it does it’s job without any problems and is a space saver.
